After watching The Shining, I couldn't help wondering - "What cool effect caused the narrow hallway to track back like that" - was. After doing some research, I saw this technique was mastered using a skate dolly with a zoom in. Though, to backtrack a long shot in our film opening. But, I couldn't help wonder a few things: How would we get a skate dolly with rig wheels? Also, is this technique really necessary? But for the benefit of others, this video's interesting to take note of.

Research - Camera Slider
After watching The Shining, I couldn't help wondering - "What cool effect caused the narrow hallway to track back like that" - was.
