Film Openings: 'Superman/Batman: Public Enemies'

I like this sequence because it is very good at giving you a feel for the film & represents the theme of superheroes extremely well. Everything from the colours used (red & blue to represent Superman, black & yellow to represent Batman) to the flow of the sequence makes for a perfect title sequence for this film. I also like the way silhouettes have been used creatively to fill frames in a simple but effective way. This simplicity represents the children’s comic book aspect of the theme very well. My group's opening should be representative of the theme of the thriller film.

The flow of the sequence is very fluid & fast. An animation will be on screen for a few seconds while moving slowly across the frame, then it will very quickly slide out of the frame to be almost instantly replaced with a new animation & the cycle is repeated. This gives a sense of power & urgency, and so gives you a feel for the film (Superheroes are powerful & the situations in superhero movies are urgent).
The music used during the opening also has the same sense of urgency to it. it is very fast-paced orchestral music, & there are sharp sounds over quite low undertones. It gets gradually louder & louder, this makes us feel uncertain & like something big is about to happen any minute.
I feel that my group's opening should carry the same sense of urgency as it is a thriller film. We can do this through fast cutting  of footage in editing, & fast-paced music.
I find this film opening particularly interesting as it is completely animated. This is a very creative way to start a film. However, it is not something my group could consider as we don't have the time, tools or knowledge to do so, and I feel it wouldn't be suitable for a thriller opening.
